Wander Far. Feel Deeply. Travel Light.

Ride Slow. Feel the Road. Tell the Story.

I’m Captain Mark Dexter, the writer, photographer, and quiet soul behind Woodend Wanderer. This space was born from a need to move slowly, observe deeply, and connect meaningfully with landscapes, with people, and with stories that often go untold.

Woodend Wanderer is where I document my rides through rugged coastlines, misty forests, and winding rural backroads. For me, motorcycling isn’t about the adrenaline. It’s about presence. The rhythm of the engine, the weather on your skin, the freedom to stop anywhere—and the chance to notice what others might speed past.

You’ll find stories here from quiet corners of the world, practical travel guides for fellow riders, and photo journals that aim to capture the feeling of a place—not just the view.

This site is for the kind of rider who carries a flask of coffee, a map with hand-drawn notes, and no set destination.

Thanks for riding along.
